Spring has Sprung!

Spring has officially sprung, and as colour therapist, this is my absolute favourite time of year. It feels like we’ve all slowly woken up from our winter slumber, blinking into the lighter mornings, craving fresh air, and suddenly becoming a little more open to bringing colour back into our lives and wardrobes.

There’s always that moment when the seasons shift and people start asking themselves: Do I finally pack away the winter wardrobe and bring out the summer pieces? My mum absolutely did. The seasonal wardrobe switch was a full ritual in our house.. winter knits boxed away, lighter fabrics returning like old friends.

Me? I’m more of a “layer it all up” kind of girl. I love mixing pieces across all seasons because, let’s face it, British weather has a personality disorder. But more than that, I believe colour shouldn’t have an expiry date. Some shades simply lift your energy whenever you wear them.

This time of year especially, I always encourage people to lean into nature’s colours. Spring reminds us that colour is healing, hopeful and energising. After months of greys, blacks and hiding under oversized coats, we naturally start craving softness, freshness and light again.

And it’s not just in our heads, the longer daylight hours genuinely give us an energy boost. More sunlight affects our mood, hormones and nervous system, helping us feel brighter, more motivated and more alive. It’s no coincidence that we suddenly feel drawn to lighter tones, florals, greens and joyful prints.

That love of the outdoors and nature-inspired colour is exactly what inspired our latest spring drops. The Wysteria Appliqué Jacket and Bird Print Bomber are such unique statement pieces, wearable art, really, but still incredibly easy to style. I personally love them thrown over a plain white T-shirt and jeans. Effortless, but they completely transform an outfit and your mood.

And don’t even get me started on the buttery soft funnel neck faux leathers… I was instantly obsessed the second I saw them. They had to come in icy lemon and spring green, those shades just scream fresh energy and optimism to me. They’re the perfect throw-on pieces and somehow manage to go with absolutely everything.

What I love most about spring fashion is that it doesn’t need to be dramatic. Sometimes the smallest shift in colour can completely change how you feel. A softer shade. A brighter jacket. A colour you wouldn’t normally choose. It’s less about trends and more about permission, permission to step out of the shadows of winter and reconnect with yourself again.

So my tip for this spring?

Shed the shadows and try a new shade. It could just be the pick-me-up you didn’t know you needed.
